Choosing the right carpet for a Gulf Coast home
The right carpet depends on how the room gets used - and on our climate. Bedrooms and living rooms can take a softer, plush fiber; stairs and hallways need a tight low-pile that resists crushing (see our carpet stair options); and homes with pets, kids, or sandy feet coming in from the beach do best on solution-dyed polyester that shrugs off moisture and stains.

Carpet tile is the smart choice anywhere a single damaged section would normally mean ripping up an entire room - a situation more than a few of our Destin-area vacation-rental owners know well. Squares snap into place, install in hours instead of days, and a stained or sun-faded tile pops out for individual replacement. The modular backing also handles our humidity better than broadloom, which is why it's our default recommendation for finished bonus rooms and home offices.
Professional carpet installation
We install stretch-in broadloom over fresh 8-pound rebond pad, glue-down commercial carpet, carpet tile, and stair runners. Every job includes power-stretching (not just a knee kicker), heat-bonded seams, and full removal and haul-away of your old carpet. Most homes are finished in a single day, and we're happy to compare it against luxury vinyl plank if carpet only makes sense for part of the house.

A typical 3-bedroom Destin home is finished in 1 to 2 days, including removal of the old carpet and pad. We can usually move furniture for you at no extra charge.
Solution-dyed polyester or nylon with a stain-resistant treatment holds up best against everyday pet accidents and our coastal humidity. The color runs all the way through the fiber, so bleach-cleaning an accident won't leave a light spot.
Almost always, yes. Padding compresses and absorbs moisture over the years; reusing old pad voids most carpet warranties. We include fresh 8-pound rebond pad in every install.
Yes - we use a no-staple installation method that protects the wood underneath, so you can revert to bare hardwood in the future if you choose.
