Porcelain tile - the toughest floor money can buy

Porcelain tile is fired at higher temperatures from a denser clay than standard ceramic. The result is a tile that's less than 0.5% porous (effectively waterproof), harder than granite, and rated for commercial-grade traffic. Porcelain demands precision. Large-format and plank-shaped tiles are unforgiving of subfloor unevenness - even 1/8" of dip will telegraph through. We laser-level every floor, use leveling clips on every install, and back-butter every plank for full mortar coverage.
